About Us

I've always been drawn to the written word whether through journaling, creative writing or sending letters. Growing up in the South, the tradition of thank you cards and handwritten notes has been a part of me for as long as I can remember.

My beloved Aunt Beth with her graceful handwriting and thoughtful words filled my mailbox and my heart with notes that reminded me I was loved. She taught me that a simple card could hold extraordinary meaning.

The Quillist is my giant love letter to Aunt Beth whom I lost to cancer far too soon. Through it, I hope to honor her spirit and share my lifelong love of writing by helping others express their gratitude one heartfelt note at a time.

For as long as I can remember, writing thank you notes has been my least favorite chore. That being said, when I do send them in a timely manner, the feeling is incredibly satisfying. Thankfully, my wife has a knack for it, so I’ve managed to dodge the duty for nearly twenty years. With The Quillist, maybe others like me can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
